The book was referenced on the show Lost as well as in the video game Assasin's Creed: Syndicate and in the Paul McCartney song Jenny Wren. Charles Dickens (1812-1870) was an English author, social critic, and philanthropist. Much of his writing first appeared in small instalments in magazines and was widely popular. Min nästa sista Dickens-roman, sedan har jag lyssnat mig igenom Järfällas och Stockholms utbud. Uppläsaren gör återigen ett fantastiskt jobb med olika röster och det här är, trots sin oerhörda längd på nästan 36 timmar, en av de romaner av Dickens som jag uppskattar mest. Jag gillar huvudpersonerna och vill veta hur det går, fast kanske inte i 36 timmar, det är väldigt svårt att hålla fokus under så lång tid så det är lätt att missa vissa händelser. Men det här är trots allt en Dickens jag vill rekommendera, för anglofilen.
